Strange start to a vacation

I'm stood in the airport in Basel waiting for Marly to arrive. We'll then head south and see where the road takes us in our new/old jeep grand cherokee. Never started a holiday like this before, but the weather is fantastic and I can't wait to get going. Northern Italy here we come.
